Grand Hyatt Singapore has launched “Moments of More”, a visual storytelling contest, to invite all Singaporeans and global travellers to share their treasured experiences that are off the beaten path in Singapore. Participants can compete to win a grand prize of one million World of Hyatt points that can be used to redeem free nights, room upgrades, and gourmet and wellness experiences at Hyatt hotels in Singapore and around the world. Moments of More kicks off the marketing strategy to build anticipation of the hotel’s phased reopening following a multi-year transformation.

Today, more luxury travellers are seeking bespoke, original experiences that provide them with a sense of place. Harnessing a common passion for sharing personal perspectives, Moments of More challenges the stereotypes that visitors to Singapore may have of the country while inspiring them to explore Singapore’s unique appeal in their own way. The contest encourages participants to recommend their personal discoveries, lesser-known experiences and favourite memories.

Submissions for the contest will open on 28 August and close on 29 September 2023 at 2359hrs. The top five entries will be announced on 16 October 2023 for public voting. One Grand Winner will be announced by 31 October 2023.

The grand prize winner of one million World of Hyatt points can indulge in enriching experiences worldwide, up to 200 standard room nights in Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide, subject to availability. American Serengeti – Northern Yellowstone Wildlife Tour

See the fall colours while soaring above Yellowstone National Park, watching herds of elk and moose migrate below. Offered in partnership with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris and Yellowstone Safari Company, the American Serengeti tour takes guests on a bucket-list adventure to the northern tip of the Park. This area features some of the densest concentration of wildlife in the continental United States, and is commonly known as the American Serengeti. Depart on a private sunrise flight from Jackson Hole in a Swiss Pilatus aircraft, heading out on a day-long excursion guided by a team of naturalists and certified adventure experts. Signature wildlife for possible sightings include bison, bears, elk, moose, big horn sheep, raptors and mule deer. The experience can accommodate up to seven guests, at a cost of USD 16,000 inclusive of food and beverage.

Healing at The Spa

The Wellness for Cancer Care Massage, offered in 60 and 90 minutes at The Spa, is specially designed for guests who have been touched by the effects of cancer. A certified massage therapist will use soothing oils to address dry or radiation-irritated skin, release scar tissue and provide lymph support. Each treatment is tailored to target specific areas and help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety and fatigue. The treatment launches this October 2023, beginning at a price of USD 230, not inclusive of tax and gratuity. A portion of the cost of each service will be donated to local cancer research.

Fall Colours

Arrange a visit to Grand Teton National Park to observe the beautiful fall foliage on a Four Seasons Wildlife Safari, or a trip up the Tram in Teton Village to see the fall colours from a bird’s eye view. Australians will now be able to earn more than just endorphins after a workout when travelling, with leading fitness brand, Peloton, and Australia’s largest hotel operator, Accor, announcing a new partnership today.

Following the successful launch of Peloton into select Accor hotels around 2022, the expanded agreement will see Peloton Bikes installed in more than 50 of Accor’s most popular hotels, resorts and apartments across Australia.

Plus, in the first of its kind program in Australia and for a limited time, guests will be rewarded for working out with Peloton – with the ability to earn 100 ALL – Accor Live Limitless Reward points when they workout on the Peloton Bike or the Peloton App during their stay at one of the participating Accor hotels, including Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer, Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Novotel Perth Murray Street, and Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise.

Guests simply need to show their workout in the Peloton App at the hotel front desk or in the gym, scan the QR code provided and register for the offer prior to check-out to redeem. The points can be redeemed for their next holiday or to unlock tickets to some of the most popular concerts, shows and sporting events around the world.

New data reveals Australians’ desire for health when travelling

To support the expanded launch, Peloton and Accor commissioned research with YouGov to uncover Australians’ attitudes to health and fitness while travelling for work or leisure. The findings revealed that maintaining their current fitness regime when travelling is important to Australian travellers.

●        Two in three Aussies (66%) surveyed said that maintaining their health and exercise regime when on holidays was important to them, with Millennials more likely than Gen Z and Gen X to say sticking to their regime is extremely important (37%, compared to and 21% and 24% respectively).

●        When it comes to business travel specifically, among the 50% of Aussies who travel within Australia for work, 76% – the equivalent of 7.5 million people – said that maintaining their health and exercise regime when travelling was important to them. In relation to what Australians are looking for when staying at a hotel for work or leisure, the majority (68%) would prefer to exercise using hotel facilities when they are in a new destination, with many stating that the opportunity to try new fitness experiences would enhance their stay.

●        Two in three Gen Z and Millennials (67% respectively) agree that the opportunity to try new fitness experiences is likely to positively impact the quality of their hotel stay.

Gen Z eager to take advantage of loyalty points

According to the research commissioned, two thirds of Gen Z (66%) admit they would be motivated to maintain their health and fitness goals while staying at a hotel if by doing so they could earn loyalty points and incentives towards their next holiday experience, which is more likely than Gen X (54%) and Baby Boomers (32%).

Two-in-three Aussies (65%) who travel domestically for business share this sentiment, with 30% of business travellers saying they would be much more motivated.
