Bahrain set to attract more Japanese tourists

The TEA of Bahrain is marketing the Gulf country as a fascinating world hub for tourism in Japan, the third-largest financial system of the world.


Dr. Nasser Qaedi, BETA CEO, on the sidelines of a formal visit to Tokyo, took part in several meetings with senior officials of Japanese tourism, entertainment, hospitality, trade and industry, to speak about different methods to improve mutual collaboration.


Qaedi met with Japan National Tourism head, along with Japan Tourism Agency’s executive officials, also representatives of travel agency, and experts related to manufacturing and hospitality, to talk about the
opportunities and the way to double the number of tourists from Japan to Bahrain.


Also, Qaedi had talks with Japan’s well-known hotel managers and owners of popular restaurants in terms of the possibility of launching new branches and spend in Bahrain.


Speaking with representatives from travel, targeting on special contracts for packages related to tourism and affiliation with domestic airlines.


Qaedi also had a face-to-face meeting with the associations and businesses related to Japanese jewelry to make certain their participation in forthcoming exhibitions in Bahrain.


He stated that 2022–2026 plan of Bahrain was to boost the contribution of tourism to the GDP of the country and pull more tourists worldwide, particularly from East Asia.
