The Atomic Museum announces it has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travelers’ Choice award winner. The coveted award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.
“The narrative of atomic testing in the Nevada desert is colorful and fascinating,” said Rob McCoy, CEO, Atomic Museum. “It is important this history is not forgotten, so we work every day to bring the significance to life. It means a lot to hear visitors appreciate those efforts.”
John Boris, chief growth officer at Tripadvisor, congratulated all winners by applauding their perseverance.
“Earning a Travelers’ Choice Award demonstrates that [the attraction has] provided great experiences to those who matter most: guests,” he said. “With changing expectations, continued labor shortages, and rising costs, this is no easy feat, and I am continually impressed with the hospitality industry’s resilience and ability to adapt.”
The Atomic Museum is a national science, history, and educational institution that tells the story of America’s nuclear weapons testing program at the Nevada Test Site. The Museum covers more than 70 years of atomic testing in 8,000 square feet of exhibit space, using lessons of the past and present to understand better the extent and effect of nuclear testing on worldwide nuclear deterrence and geo-political history.
The museum is located at 755 E. Flamingo Rd., just north of the University District.
