The luxury brands have an irresistible charm that captivates people all around the world, including the United States. CoolFrames, the designer eyewear experts, did a detailed investigation in 2023, diving into Google search statistics to reveal which states had the most ardent devotion with premium goods. The findings offer fascinating insights into the tastes of Americans looking for high-end clothes and accessories.

With a whopping 1300 luxury brand searches per 1000 individuals, Florida emerges as the apex of luxury brand addiction. Floridians have an insatiable thirst for luxury items, with roughly 3 million monthly searches. Louis Vuitton bags are the most popular, with 55,000 searches, followed by the coveted Gucci shoes, which have 20,000 searches. With just over 55,000 searches, Valentino is the least sought-after brand in the Sunshine State.

Texas is in second place, with 1136 high-end brand searches per 1000 persons. Texas citizens have a strong interest in luxury brands, with an astounding monthly average of 3.5 million searches. Louis Vuitton continues its lead with 1 million searches, while Gucci comes in second with almost 560,000. The Texan love of Gucci shoes is especially clear, with about 30,000 searches dedicated to these wonderful footwear alternatives.

New York

With 157 searches per 1000 persons and 2,778,960 monthly luxury brand searches, New York, known for its lively fashion scene, takes third place. Louis Vuitton bags continue to mesmerise, with 75,000 searches, followed by Gucci bags with 43,000 searches. Valentino remains to be the least wanted brand, generating roughly 67,300 searches, as in prior states.

California is the fourth most obsessed with luxury brands in the world, with 143 searches per 1000 persons and over 5.5 million monthly searches. Californians are fans of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, and Rolex. Louis Vuitton handbags are highly sought after, with 52,000 monthly searches, while Gucci bags receive 58,000 monthly searches.

New Jersey and Illinois

New Jersey and Illinois are ranked fifth and sixth, respectively. New Jersey has 134 searches per 1000 individuals, with Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags ranking first and second, with 35,000 and 20,000 searches, respectively. In Illinois, however, there are 120 searches per 1000 persons, with Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags being the most popular goods.

Vermont to Wyoming

Vermont comes sixth, with 109 searches per 1000 individuals, owing mostly to a desire for Louis Vuitton bags. North Dakota ranks seventh with 94 searches per 1000 individuals, with Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Dior at the top of high-end brand searches. Wyoming comes in second with 88 searches per 1000 persons, despite a common affinity with Louis Vuitton.

Louisiana had the lowest level of luxury brand fixation among the states studied, with an average of 84 searches per 1000 persons and roughly 100,000 monthly searches. Despite this, searches for Louis Vuitton bags exceed 15,000, indicating a strong interest in this legendary brand.

The CoolFrames survey presents a striking picture of the United States’ fascination with premium brands.
